You’ve got the power
OCTOBER IS OFFICIALLY CO-OP MONTH, where cooperatives across the country celebrate our heritage. The YEC story
is simple–it’s all about you. As a member-owned utility, we believe providing transparency, focusing on education, and
keeping you informed gives you the power. It’s our promise to look out for you and make your life easier. That’s why we work hard to implement programs to empower our members to use electricity to suit their lifestyles and why we focus on thanking our members for giving us the privilege of serving you. Here are just a few of our programs that allow YEC to work for you. After all, YEC is yours and we hope these services help exemplify our commitment to you.
Advance Pay
Pay your bill when you want, in the amounts you want to
electricity, take a load off and enjoy a little R and R. Sign up for noti cations to help YEC keep power costs low at beatthepeak.com. Members who sign up by November 30 will be entered in a state-wide drawing for a $250 gift card!
Go Green
Let us credit you $12 per year and avoid the hassle of mail on your kitchen counter! Sign up for bank draft and electronic billing and receive a $1 credit each month on your bill.
Solar Advisory Program
Thinking about installing solar? Let
YEC be your source of information–to evaluate the solar company’s offer, provide a cost analysis for you and guide you through the process. We are here to give you the facts and to help you make the right choice for your home.
These program opportunities are designed to help all members meet their needs, save you money, and empower each of you to choose how you use your electricity. You—ourmembers—stretch across four counties, live in cities and on farms, might be in your rst apartment or still live in the same location you
did fty years ago. Our needs are all different and our membership is diverse, but together we are YEC. Together, we have the power to make a difference. And, that’s the cooperative advantage.

 SCAM ALERT!
Several cooperative members from across the state have been contacted and threatened with service disconnection if immediate payment is not made over the phone. Your cooperative would never ask for payment in this manner. If you receive a suspicious call, please call us to verify your account before releasing any payment or personal information over the phone. Also, don’t forget to notify local law enforcement.
